Résumé:
The purpose of the present study is to evaluate the in vitro biological activities of the flavonoid extract of green tea and the possibility of their use for improving the functional properties of a shampoo.
At the end of the extraction and the assays carried out, the content of green tea in flavonoids was 2.18 mg EQ / g MS. The results of the study of the anti-haemolytic activity in vitro, by test of inhibition of hemolysis of the membrane of the red blood cells induced by different agents (hypotonic and high temperature environments), show that the flavonoids extracted from green tea have an anti-hemolytic effect. The DPPH test is used to evaluate the antioxidant effect of the green tea extract, and the results showed that the latter has a strong scavenger activity against the DPPH radical, ranging from 34.49% to 67.60%.
The evaluation of the antimicrobial activity of the green tea extract revealed a potent activity, the proportion of the inhibition diameters for the mushrooms oscillate between 15.5 and 24 mm, and between 12 and 17, 5mm for the bacteria.
The addition of flavonoid extract from green tea to a shampoo has shown that the latter requires good anti-dandruff and anti-itch activity.
