This study is part of the research project of Annaba's Laboratory of Applied Animal Biology (2018-2022). For this purpose, a neonicotinoid insecticide thiaméthoxam, commercialized product Actara (25% AM) it used against a shrimp Palaemon adspersus Rathke (1837) (Decapoda, Palaemonidae) in order to evaluate its toxicity on tow biomarkers activity the glutathionS-transferase (GST) and the acetylcholinesterase (AChE).
For this purpose, thimethoxam insecticide (Actara 25% WG) has been added to the water breeding P.adspersus adults on tow concentration CL10 and CL25 determined with respecting exposition of 96h. Samples taken (head and flesh) have been implementing each 24h during 96h exposition to determinate the specific activity of GST and AChE.
The results showed a significant induction in GST and also a significant inhibition in AChE activities in individuals at the non-target species P.adspersus. |
