Résumé:
Marrubium vulgare L (White horehound), Lamiaceae family, is a perennial herb spontaneous, very responded in the
Mediterranean region. The present study is carried out by the evaluation of the different biological activities ; antioxidant, antibacterial and
antifungal activities of different extracts of this plant.
The antioxidant activity was determined using the test of DPPH, iron chelating activity, reducing power and radical cationreduction
ABTS+. The determination of antioxidant activity showed that the extracts have a strong anti-radical activity against the radical
DPPH, an important the reducing power. And also a significant ABTS+ radical-cation scavenging effect.
The antimicrobial activity was determined by agar well diffusion method. The extracts were tested against six human pathogenic
bacterial strains, five phytopathogenic fungi and one yeast. It shows that the inhibition of the growth of microorganisms tested varies
depending on the microbial species, the concentration. The highest zone of inhibition recorded by the aqueous extract against Bacillus
cereus (22mm).
For the antifungal activity, all tested strains were resistant against all the extracts of this plant
