Abstract The Bank of Algeria is one of the most important basic organs in the Algerian banking system, as it is thus a public institution that enjoys relative independence from the guardian authorities, functionally, as the Algerian legislator entrusted it with a set of powers and tasks and defined its legal frameworks in order to enable it to control banking activity in Algeria, regulate it as well as supervise currency in Algeria, thus representing the supreme monetary authority in Algeria, and the Bank of Algeria is a trader in its relations with others.
