Abstract

Summary: The novel is considered a prose literary art that includes serial events, either real or imaginary, that depend on description. Dialogue as well as the conflict between the characters, and they discuss social, political or religious issues, and our study focused on the narrative structure in the novel roots and wings by the novelist Salim Batqqa, and we tried to expose it to various narrative, techniques, including time, characters, place, eventes, and the study required dividing the research into two chapter in which we worked hard to apply it to our fictional text (Roots and wings) relying on that structural approach and the descriptive approach to achieve the desired goal.
