questionnaire and an interview are for third-year English students to investigate their
perceptions and challenges of online learning during the pandemic. Another interview is
addressed for lecturers in order to know their perspectives on online learning during the
outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. The currentstudy results show that most of lecturers and
learners have negative perceptions towards online learning during Covid-19, and they prefer
to use the traditional mode of teaching and learning, they believe that face to face interaction
is better than online learning since online learning is non-convenient and less effective for
both lecturers and students
