As part of guaranteeing the quality of service of the Ad hoc network, we propose a new
metric based on the stability of the links and the durability of communication between the
nodes. In this metric, we used a link selection mechanism to convey data based on node
energy. Then we will apply it in the Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR) to get a
new more stable and durable version, it will be called New_OLSR. This new protocol greatly
minimizes MPR recalculation and routing tables. The simulation results show the
effectiveness and success of our proposal, in order to guarantee the quality of service.
