Résumé:
We have carried out this research work with the objective of trying to highlight the issues related to speaking in a French as a Foreign Language ( FLE ) class in order to improve oral language skills among students in the 2nd year of middle school. We have attempted to diagnose the problems that prevent learners from speaking and have also tried to propose solutions to address the majority of these shortcomings.
We have also emphasized the role of the teacher in assisting students and how it could positively influence their motivation to speak freely in order to improve their oral proficiency and overcome their difficulties in both comprehension and production of the language.
