dc.description.abstract |
This study investigates the role of incorporating comic books as a pedagogical
tool to enhance EFL learners’ speaking skills within the context of first year middle
school pupils at Allouch Ameur Middle School, Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria. By
examining the impact of comic books on language acquisition and oral proficiency,
the research aims to provide insights into the effectiveness of this innovative
approach within the Algerian educational context. Employing a qualitative study, by
using a systematic observation, field notes, and an observation checklist, the study
explores the potential benefits and challenges of utilizing comic books as a means to
develop EFL learners’ speaking skills, shedding light on the implications for
language instruction in the Algerian Middle School. Hence, the first chapter explores
the use of comic books in speaking skill activities. The second chapter elucidates data
collection, analysis, and discussion of the findings. Thus, the study reveals that comic
books are quite effective in enhancing EFL learners’ speaking skills. |
