Résumé:
This dissertation aims at exploring the effectiveness of classroom management on pupils’
achievement at Laarbi Touati middle school in Bordj Bou Arreridj, Algeria. This study
applied descriptive qualitative approach. To collect authentic data, a questionnaire and a
classroom observation were employed with random samples that consisted of three teachers of
English and 26 second year middle school pupils. The collected data were analysed
qualitatively, and the obtained results revealed that an effective classroom management needs
always the implementation of appropriate techniques and strategies to enhance pupils’
achievement in learning English as a foreign language.
