Abstract
This study proposes an innovative approach based on the combination of perovskite and CIGS in a single efficient hybrid layer, instead of using them in a conventional tandem structure. This combination combines the high absorption and adjustable band gap of perovskite with the stability and high efficiency of CIGS, allowing for wider spectral absorption and more efficient charge transport. The simulation was performed using Silvaco ATLAS software, adopting the MAPbI₃ structure and a Spiro-OMeTAD hole transport layer, with a uniform doping concentration of 1e17 cm-³ for the two transport layers. Simulation results show that the proposed hybrid structure can achieve a photoelectric conversion efficiency of 23%, a current of mA 20.20 and a voltage of v 1.54, highlighting the effectiveness of this approach in the development of high-performance next-generation solar cells.
