dc.description.abstractThe study of the diet of the House Martin is performed through the analysis of 30 droppings collected in the area of Bordj Bou Arreridj. It appears from this study that this Swallow is considered an insectivorous bird of choice with a consumption rate of insect equal to 99.7%. The review of droppings also reveals that Hymenoptera (A.R. = 66.5%) contribute significantly in the diet Delichon urbica. Within this order, the family Formicidae ranks first with (A.R. = 62.4%), whose species is best represented Plagiolepis sp. (A.R. = 19.6%), followed by Tetramorium biskrensis (A.R. = 18.9%) and Pheidole pallidula (A.R. = 7.2%)en_US
