dc.description.abstractIn this work, a new solution to design smart elevators is proposed. The proposed solution is based on Schneider technology. So, M221 Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) class has been selected. This PLC allows controlling the different functions of the smart elevator. The main functions of the elevator are reading elevator levels, door positions and data acquisition. When the operator selects a floor using the key board, the PLC reads the data and executes the desired outputs. Also, voice control is considered in the solution as a new option. Programming and management of the smart elevator is based on EcoStruxure Machine Expert software.en_US
