dc.description.abstractCovid-19 has impacted all sectors of the world, especially education; it was the only sector that has totally transferred into online mode. Therefore, this study comes to explore lecturers' and learners' perceptions towards online learning during Covid-19 in English department, Borj Bou Arreridj University. It is achieved by analyzing 119 responses, using mixed method (quantitative and qualitative methods) based on two interviews and one questionnaire. A questionnaire and an interview are for third-year English students to investigate their perceptions and challenges of online learning during the pandemic. Another interview is addressed for lecturers in order to know their perspectives on online learning during the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. The currentstudy results show that most of lecturers and learners have negative perceptions towards online learning during Covid-19, and they prefer to use the traditional mode of teaching and learning, they believe that face to face interaction is better than online learning since online learning is non-convenient and less effective for both lecturers and studentsen_US
